Svenskst Sportforum is an organisation for manufacturers, suppliers and retailers of sports and nutrition products in Sweden. In addition to their work to support the growth of the sports industry in Sweden and to motivate the nation to live an active and healthy lifestyle, since 2011 the organization honours successful women working in the branch.
For the 2019 Award of Business Woman of the Year in Swedish Sports Industry the jury selected Christiane Dolva Törnberg for being “a wise, humble and communicative manager for one of today's most important issues, also for companies. A voice that the industry listens to - and many outside the industry for that matter. She has made all the difference in how the company works with sustainability. A prerequisite for much of the company's development and profile today."
Sustainability has been a priority for Fjällräven since its start in 1960. The brand drives the development of equipment that enables people to spend time in nature without compromising the ability for future generations to be able to enjoy nature in the same way. As a result, at Fjällräven sustainability isn’t treated like a separate project, it is at the core of everything the brand does. For Christiane Dolva Törnberg in her role as Head of Sustainability at Fjällräven, this means being involved in a lot of business decisions to ensure the brand always considers and prioritizes sustainable solutions, materials and processes.
